Our commitment
Astro Starter (“we”, “us”, or “our”) wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or browser zoom. We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the site, not as an afterthought.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. “Conforms” means the content meets the guideline; where we fall short, we describe the gap under “Known limitations” below.
Measures we take
To support accessibility, this website includes:
- a “Skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the header and jump straight to each page’s main content;
- full keyboard operation, with a visible focus outline on every link, button, and form field, and focused elements kept clear of the sticky header;
- support for the “reduced motion” system setting, which stops auto-playing animations and slideshows for people who prefer less movement;
- a pause control on the home-page slideshow and on every auto-playing video, including the video testimonials;
- semantic landmarks and headings, so assistive technologies can announce the page structure and let users navigate by region;
- form fields with visible labels, clear error messages, and hints for optional fields;
- text alternatives for meaningful images, with decorative images hidden from assistive technologies.
How we test
We evaluate this website using automated accessibility testing (axe-core) run against every page, combined with a manual review using only the keyboard to confirm that interactive elements are reachable, operable, and clearly focused. We repeat these checks when we make significant changes to the site.
Known limitations
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party bot-detection widget, to protect against spam. We do not control the internal markup of this widget, so parts of its accessibility are outside our direct control. If it prevents you from reaching us, please use the email address or phone number below instead.
The scrolling strip of client logos on the home page has no on-page pause button yet. It stops automatically if your system’s “reduced motion” setting is on, and the repeated logo copies are hidden from assistive technologies, which announce each client name once, without motion.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, and the content remains available and readable when JavaScript is unavailable.
